You require a lock for security.  That is why doorknobs and padlocks are created for this aim. However, the room is not a room with a doorknob.  Cabinets are not complete with padlocks as well as gates and storage.  It is just a cover without it.   Thieves can only involve a little exertion to break in and hold up the ones inside the room, taking out everything they want.   It may be appliances, cash, or the bed. Your entities in your room without a lock can easily be tampered with, and your favourite clothing is taken by thieves as well.   There are no safety measures.   From sunset to sunrise when you go out, or in the mornings when you go out, thieves can come in and get your valuable things such as jewellery, laptop, tv, and clothing items because you have no doorknob and lock to lock your house, cabinets and gate.  You are so bothered you cannot sleep.

Let’s Talk About Padlock Brands

A padlock is also safe other than doorknobs.  It has a U-shaped handle to tighten the safety doors and cabinets. But, again, both doorknobs and padlocks are safe.

The door lock can either be a padlock or a doorknob.   Yale, Sherlock, D.I.Y., and Wolfdog Egrnia are the brands of padlocks in the Philippines.  To be honest, some  Yale padlocks are not safe.  The U-shaped handle that connects the hole of the square is very long and flexible.  A silly child can sit it lying down and squeeze outside tough to lock our loved ones against the external destructive forces.

Sherlock padlock can find security.  It can genuinely lock the door without flexing because it has a short handle but can easily be damaged. Unfortunately, it only lasts a week if you try to test it with a mighty hand.

The D.I.Y. padlock has no security.  It cannot be tightly secured with the bolt or with the safety hasps, and it can be opened by letting its u-shaped handle lie down to the right, just like the Yale padlock.   Also, it is very cumbersome because you have to close it using a key.  It cannot be automatically closed.  But just like the Yale brand, the D.I.Y.  looks attractive with its shiny texture.

The Wolfdog padlock excels others in a given quality, and it only costs 2 for 136 pesos.  Unlike Yale, which costs 700 pesos and Sherlock, which costs 278 pesos, the Wolfdog is cheap and convenient.   It has a short U-shaped handle to lock on the hole of the square part of the padlock so children cannot easily squeeze out of the door or gate.  Better install the suitable safety hasp or bolt for the padlock.

The Egrnia costs only 35 pesos.  It is firmly fixed or fastened in place to your safety hasps or bolt because it has a short U-shaped handle. So the kids or thieves cannot compress into its gate or door.  It might be old, but it is durable.  Its colour is red with little keys for it. So you better keep your key and enter the place locked in.

Oh, wait! We Need to Talk about the Door Knobs!

These are comparisons of door lock brands in the Philippines.  But it is lacking, and I have to explain the doorknobs brands in the Philippines because they are also considered locks.   There is still Yale, Ezset, Lockset, Sobo, Faultless brands.

The Ezset is the newest kind. It is costly, like all doorknobs, but it’s essential. A coin can open Ezset, so there is no need to worry if your child is locked inside the room. So get the cash and open it.

The Yale doorknob is the most durable and beautifully made.  It locks securely without any hassle. In addition, the keys are minor for you to struggle with.   It cost 1,549 pesos, while the Ezset costs 1,649 pesos.

The Lockset doorknob is unique in colour.  It is gold then silver.  It is also a good idea to lock doors.  Tightly, it secures the door without jamming or clogging the doorstep.  It is even.  It costs 1,399 pesos.   The Faultless Combination Entry Lockset has many flaws.  It costs 899 pesos. It can be destroyed.  Fragile parts are not too hard, so thieves can wiggle and destroy them.  Easy to open, it does not give security. The Sobo Residential Lock, worth 429 pesos, needs to be more durable.  Like the Faultless brand, it can be destroyed.

There are many types of Yale doorknobs. Is lock may serve the most. In addition, you can choose a variety of Yale doorknobs, such as Fairfield, Homestead, Jamestown, McKinley, Pedestal, Rainier, and Ridgefield.

Locks are of great importance for privacy reasons also.  Not just for security.  You would not be easily perceived by the eye when you change clothes and go naked in your room.  You can lock up so nobody can see you doing your private thing after bathing.  Dressing up is serious because you must be naked to change clothing and dry up after bathing.  When you bathe, naturally, you want to lock up the bathroom, especially when you do your toilet habits.   Embarrassing. You need to lock up when doing these things.  Privacy is necessary, so you have to lock up using a padlock or a doorknob.  Every household in the Philippines has locks—even people with low incomes.

Locks are also crucial for business purposes.   If you have a board meeting as a member of the board of directors, no one can open the door to hear your board of directors’ plans.  There is privacy.  Business dealings ought to be kept secluded so that each board of directors’ independence, performance, and responsibility are not known so as not to bankrupt the company.   Any promoted notice of outside forces must be dealt with immediately if doors are opened, and secrets are foretold.

Another is that locks are helpful for product storage.  By this, products are not contaminated by germs.  They are available to be sold wholesale by retailers.  Also, safeties are useful for food storage, so locks are needed for any warehouse.  Food should be locked so it will not be spoiled and get contaminated.  The Philippines used waves to store anything.   If opened when not in use, it will get damaged and ruined.

The desk also needs locks to keep secret files and other important files.  Kids might crumple and play on it, and thieves might steal it. Necessary pieces of evidence such as marriage contracts, birth certificates, identification cards and ATM bank account cards are to be locked when not in use.  Also, business plans and columnar accounted documents should be closed.

The need for a lock to secure you and your possessions cannot be underestimated. To think that despite sweltering summers or chilly winter mornings, hands would be thrusting and rummaging through our belongings, stealing what we have taken so much effort to amass, puts us in quite a grim situation. Therefore, it is worth investing the time and resources to acquire doors with doorknobs and padlocks for cabinets, gates and storage to safeguard ourselves from such horrific experiences. Ultimately, it is up to you as a homeowner to protect your property and cherished ones. With the right door lock that meets your budget and security needs, you can know that your valuables are safe from intruders.
